USA Gymnastics names U.S. Men’s Team for 2017 World Championships
ANAHEIM, Aug. 20, 2017 – The six-man U.S. Men’s Team for the 2017 World Championships, Oct. 2-8, in Montreal, Canada, includes 2017 U.S. all-around champion Yul Moldauer of Arvada, Colo./University of Oklahoma; 2016 Olympians Sam Mikulak of Newport Coast, Calif./U.S. Olympic Training Center, and Alex Naddour of Queen Creek, Ariz./USA Youth Fitness Center; and 2016 Olympic replacement athlete Donnell Whittenburg of Baltimore, Md./U.S. Olympic Training Center. The 2017 World Championships are the first of the new Olympic cycle and is an individual-event championships.

The U.S. Men’s Team was finalized by the Men’s Program Committee based on performances at the 2017 P&G Championships. The six men and three replacement athletes were determined by the 2017 World Championships Team Selection Committee following the conclusion of the 2017 P&G Gymnastics Championships. The events and line-up for Worlds will be announced at a later date.
