Olympic Channel to air Gymnastics Gold Week before World Championships


Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will air archival Olympic gymnastics coverage from 1988 through 2016 during “Gymnastics Gold Week” next week before television coverage of the World Championships. USA Gymnastics will be providing live coverage from the World Championships at USAGymWorlds.com.

“Gymnastics Gold Week” includes every Olympic women’s team and all-around final from the last 30 years in 30 broadcast hours spread across three days.

The U.S. won seven team medals (three gold) and seven all-around medals (four gold) in those eight Olympics, highlighted by the Magnificent Seven, Carly Patterson, Nastia Liukin, Gabby Douglas and Simone Biles.

NBC Sports and Olympic Channel coverage of the world championships in Montreal starts Oct. 5 with the men’s all-around final.
